Print & Collateral

Thermasol print is calm and editorial — generous margins, warm imagery, and disciplined type that carry the sanctuary onto the page.

Formats & sizes

Build to the standard page sizes below and respect the one-page rule for short-form pieces. A fact sheet or one-pager must export to exactly one page; if content overflows, tighten spacing before cutting copy, and never deliver a "one-pager" that is actually two pages.

FormatTrim sizeUse
Letter8.5in × 11in (216mm × 279mm)Fact sheets, one-pagers, sell sheets (US)
A4210mm × 297mmBrochures, fact sheets, collateral (international)
Two-pager / leave-behindLetter or A4 spreadCase studies, hospitality and sales collateral left behind after a meeting

Grid & margins

Margins are generous on purpose — white space is part of the premium feel. Always calculate total content height before designing so the layout breathes.

SystemMarginsColumnsContent area
A418mm all sides6 columns × 27mm, 2.4mm gutters174mm wide
Letter0.5in all sidesCalculate per layout~10in safe height

The baseline grid is 2.4mm (9px) on A4. For single-page Letter layouts, keep section margins around 0.15–0.18in and content side padding around 0.45in.

Typography for print

Headlines and emotional moments are set in The Seasons; body copy, labels, and captions are set in Poppins. The Seasons is never italicized and never set in ALL CAPS. Avoid italics entirely, keep bold to genuine emphasis, and hold to a maximum of two type styles per element. Apply widow prevention to every paragraph so no single word is stranded on the last line.

Minimum body size is 8pt for print PDF. Body line-height runs 1.4–1.5; headlines run 1.1–1.2.

Color

Convert to CMYK for any press-bound piece and proof before output. The warm palette leads all consumer (B2C) collateral; the cool palette is reserved for B2B only and never appears on consumer-facing work.

Photography in print

Imagery in print follows the same standards as everywhere else: warm, golden tones, natural light, and finished, beautiful spaces. Celebrate natural materials — wood, stone, glass — and lead with emotion over product. Faces are always obscured or cropped, and there is no construction in progress, no clinical lighting, and no catalog-style product-only shots.

For reliable output, place imagery with image elements rather than CSS backgrounds, and bake gradients and shadows into the image file rather than overlaying them, since overlays and transparency can break rendering or rasterize text in print-to-PDF.

Collateral types

TypeAudiencePurpose & approach
Sell sheetB2B / B2CSingle page; product or program overview, scannable and tight
BrochureB2CMulti-page; immersive story of the wellness experience
Case studyB2B / designerTwo-pager; Thermasol provided the products and expertise, the design team shaped the experience — keep that division explicit
Hospitality collateralB2BPartner-facing leave-behind; cool palette, outcome-led

Case studies follow a four-part structure — The Vision, The Space, The Experience, Project Details — and lead with what the space feels like, not how it was built. Use sensory and outcome language, avoid construction terms, and end with a quote or a feeling rather than a thesis statement.

Collateral templates do not exist yet — produce them to spec.

Pre-press checklist

  • Page count is correct — fact sheets and one-pagers are exactly one page.
  • Colors converted to CMYK and proofed for the warm (B2C) or cool (B2B) palette as appropriate.
  • The Seasons embedded locally; no italics, no ALL CAPS on serif, no Cormorant Garamond in the final file.
  • Body copy at 8pt or larger; widows and orphans removed with non-breaking spaces.
  • Imagery placed with image elements; gradients and shadows baked into files, not overlaid.
  • Margins and grid respected; content height verified to fit the trim.
  • Final PDF regenerated and reviewed after every edit — never assume layout changes carried over.
